The ABC Global Alliance, established by the European School of Oncology (ESO), is a multi-stakeholder platform for all those interested in collaborating in common projects relating to advanced breast cancer (ABC) around the world.

The Alliance, chaired by Dr. Fatima Cardoso, ESO Breast Cancer Programme Coordinator from Lisbon, Portugal, is made up of individuals and organisations interested in advanced breast cancer and who are dedicated to improving and extending the lives of women and men across all countries worldwide and fighting for a cure. It will also raise awareness and lobby worldwide for better outcomes and improved quality of life for ABC patients. The ABC Global Alliance is committed to develop, promote and support tangible improvements that will ultimately create awareness and actions in ABC patients and families, health professionals, scientific, advocacy and political communities as well as the general public.

The ABC Global Alliance was launched during the World Cancer Congress in Paris on 3 November 2016. It is a continuation of the work developed through the ABC International Consensus Conference created in 2011, responsible for the ESO-ESMO international consensus guidelines for the management of advanced breast cancer.
